“I wholeheartedly agree with the Small Business Charter. Since establishing my own small business in 2007, I now appreciate more than ever the value of people, networks and cohesive collaboration. By combining forces, we can ensure that decision-makers at all levels understand what is required to significantly, and successfully, support small businesses and facilitate our leadership role in returning the country to economic prosperity.”
About
The business centers on empowering people. Rachel Willis works on other people’s businesses by providing solutions for entrepreneurs and SMEs at any stage of the business cycle; empowering business leaders to get what they want - provided it is in alignment with the greater good - using a combination of strategic advice, communication and interpersonal skills. Blending humour with realistic, practical and effective strategies generates successful partnerships with a wide variety of businesses - ranging from dating sites to specialist poultry farmers – and many more in between.
As well as a First in Economics & Finance, Chartered Accountancy qualification and Big 4 consultancy background, Rachel has leveraged her strong interpersonal skills and extensive international network to translate value into action - and results - through people. She is passionate about a collaborative, creative approach rather than the antiquated ideas of competition and protectionism; my philosophy is very much that “a rising tide lifts all boats”.
Rachel also works on her own business as Editor of Lightworker; the free, premium, online magazine dedicated to the art of positive living. The magazine was created because writing is a passion of Rachel’s and she wanted to empower both contributor and reader alike. 50% of the content is contributed by “ordinary” people; those who are talented with words of wisdom and stories to share, but may be intimidated by the thought of writing a whole book. And at the same time - because of the content of the magazine - readers are inspired, challenged and educated to live positively, because, at the end of the day, what all humans aspire to (and the definition of this varies from person to person) is happiness and success.
